Goals

My future goals.
When I have finished level 3 beauty therapy I am wanting to work in a beauty salon for the start of my career, but as soon as I have collected and earned enough money I am wanting to go mobile and meet new clients.

IBD gels

14/10/15
Today during the work experience I did IBD gels, but this time I worked as part of a team with another student.
The client wanted her fingers&toes doing, it was great, it felt very easy to do and it was the first time I had done it on a client. We worked as part of a team but we learned from the treatment that we needed to speak to the client a bit more and get to know her whilst she had the treatment done.
We also have a target for selling products and our client bought a new cleanser and an age resist night cream so we was able to reduce our target by £7.00 each.

In the salon we are running at college at the moment, some therapists have forgotten to charge the clients extra money for the more expensive masks for eve Taylor treatments. This is something to learn from because when you do that it can cause problems for your salon in terms of Losing profit, so then maybe your manager will take that money from your wages.
This is a great thing to learn from to ensure that you charge the right amount of money to your client.

Setting up blog

As part of my level 3 qualification I am required to take part in a ten week work experience programme.
I am attending the work experience programme to enable me to further my retail skills and to enable me to become more knowledgeable about clients and certain products to use.
I am also attending work experience to reflect on my confidence and attitude towards different clients.

So far on my work experience days I have learned IBD gels, this was very enjoyable and very easy.
On the 2/10/15 I did an Eve Taylor facial treatment for the first time on a Spanish student, I loved doing this treatment and it is very enjoyable. It was a great treatment to learn but you do need to be very knowledgeable about it so that you can tell the client what products they need and other aftercare advise.

Today on the 09/10/15 I did an eve Taylor facial treatment for the first time on a paying client with no help at all, I loved it and thought that once I had got the hang of learning it then it was a great treatment to do.
From the 09/10/15 we have offered an autumn treatment and that is a micro-current facial for the more mature generation, this offer is 5 treatments for £45 just for this date or £10 for the next 5 weeks.
